Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Shimla

Arrive Shimla (via Chandigarh airport, approx. 115 km / 3 hrs by road) and transfer to hotel. Evening walk along The Ridge and Mall Road, past the Gothic-style Christ Church. Overnight in Shimla.

Day 2: Shimla

Morning visit to the Viceregal Lodge (Indian Institute of Advanced Study), a striking colonial-era building. Optional toy train ride on the UNESCO-listed Kalka-Shimla railway for those wanting to experience the narrow-gauge mountain route. Afternoon visit to Jakhoo Hill and its giant Hanuman statue. Overnight in Shimla.

Day 3: Shimla to Manali

Morning drive to Manali (approx. 250 km / 7-8 hrs) through the Kullu Valley, following the Beas River. Overnight in Manali.

Day 4: Manali

Morning visit to Hadimba Temple, a wooden shrine set in a cedar forest, and a walk through Old Manali's cafes and craft shops. Afternoon excursion to Solang Valley, a scenic meadow popular for its mountain views and optional adventure activities like paragliding or a chairlift ride. Overnight in Manali.

Day 5: Manali

Full day excursion toward Rohtang Pass or the Atal Tunnel (subject to seasonal access and permits), offering some of the most dramatic snow-capped mountain views in Himachal. Overnight in Manali.

Day 6: Manali to Dharamshala

Morning drive to Dharamshala (approx. 250 km / 7 hrs). Overnight in Dharamshala/Mcleodganj.

Day 7: Dharamshala/Mcleodganj

Morning visit to the Namgyal Monastery and Tsuglagkhang Complex, home to the Dalai Lama, along with the Tibet Museum. Afternoon visit to Bhagsunag Waterfall and a walk through Mcleodganj's market. Overnight in Mcleodganj.

Day 8: Dharamshala to Mussoorie

Morning drive/flight connection toward Dehradun, then on to Mussoorie (approx. 35 km / 1 hr from Dehradun), the "Queen of the Hills." Evening walk along Mall Road and Camel's Back Road. Overnight in Mussoorie.

Day 9: Mussoorie to Rishikesh

Morning visit to Kempty Falls and Gun Hill (via cable car) for panoramic Himalayan and valley views. Afternoon drive to Rishikesh (approx. 80 km / 2.5 hrs). Evening walk across Laxman Jhula and the Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat or Parmarth Niketan. Overnight in Rishikesh.

Day 10: Departure

Morning at leisure along the Ganges, or an optional yoga session at one of Rishikesh's ashrams. Transfer to Dehradun (Jolly Grant) airport for onward/international flight connection.
