About This Tour
The Chota Char Dham Yatra is one of Hinduism's most revered pilgrimage circuits, covering the four sacred sources in the Garhwal Himalayas — Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Set against snow-capped peaks and river valleys, this journey combines high-altitude temple visits, sacred river origins, and the spiritual energy of Rishikesh and Haridwar on the banks of the Ganges.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Haridwar
Arrive Dehradun/Haridwar and transfer to hotel. Evening visit to Har Ki Pauri to witness the Ganga Aarti, a mesmerizing ritual of lamps and chants on the banks of the Ganges. Overnight in Haridwar.

Day 2: Haridwar to Barkot
Morning drive to Barkot (approx. 170 km / 6-7 hrs), the base for the Yamunotri leg of the yatra, passing through scenic hill roads. Overnight in Barkot.

Day 3: Barkot to Yamunotri and back to Barkot
Early drive to Janki Chatti, followed by a trek (approx. 6 km, by foot, pony, or palanquin) to Yamunotri Temple, dedicated to the goddess Yamuna at the source of the Yamuna River. After darshan, return to Janki Chatti and drive back to Barkot. Overnight in Barkot.

Day 4: Barkot to Uttarkashi
Morning drive to Uttarkashi (approx. 100 km / 4 hrs), visiting the Vishwanath Temple en route or on arrival. Overnight in Uttarkashi.

Day 5: Uttarkashi to Gangotri and back
Morning drive to Gangotri (approx. 100 km / 3.5 hrs) for darshan at Gangotri Temple, the origin point of the holy Ganges. Visit the Bhagirath Shila rock where Bhagirath is believed to have meditated. Return drive to Uttarkashi. Overnight in Uttarkashi.

Day 6: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi
Long scenic drive to Guptkashi (approx. 220 km / 8-9 hrs), the base for the Kedarnath leg. Overnight in Guptkashi.

Day 7: Guptkashi to Kedarnath
Drive to Sonprayag/Gaurikund and begin the trek (approx. 16-18 km, by foot, pony, or helicopter where available) to Kedarnath, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, situated at 3,583m amid snow-capped peaks. Evening darshan at the temple. Overnight in Kedarnath.

Day 8: Kedarnath to Guptkashi
Early morning darshan, then trek back down to Gaurikund and drive to Guptkashi. Overnight in Guptkashi.

Day 9: Guptkashi to Badrinath
Morning drive to Badrinath (approx. 210 km / 7-8 hrs) via Joshimath. Evening darshan at Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and a visit to the Tapt Kund hot springs beside the temple. Overnight in Badrinath.

Day 10: Badrinath to Rudraprayag/Rishikesh
Morning visit to Mana village (India's last village near the Tibet border) and Vyas Gufa, followed by the drive toward Rishikesh (approx. 300 km / 9-10 hrs, often broken at Rudraprayag or Devprayag). Overnight en route or in Rishikesh.

Day 11: Rishikesh / Departure
Morning visit to Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, and the ashrams along the Ganges. Evening Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat before transfer to Dehradun/Haridwar for departure.
