7-Day Kashmir Exploration Tour

Arrive Srinagar and transfer to a houseboat on Dal Lake. Evening shikara (traditional wooden boat) ride across the lake, past floating gardens and the lakeside markets. Overnight on the houseboat.

Morning visit to the Mughal Gardens — Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi, all built along the terraced slopes overlooking Dal Lake. Afternoon walking tour of the Old City, including Jama Masjid and the Old City's papier-mâché and carpet-weaving workshops. Overnight on the houseboat.

Morning drive to Gulmarg (approx. 50 km / 1.5 hrs), a meadow-set hill resort ringed by pine forest. Ride the Gulmarg Gondola, one of the highest cable cars in the world, up toward Apharwat Peak for panoramic Himalayan views (weather permitting). Overnight in Gulmarg.

Morning drive to Pahalgam (approx. 150 km / 4 hrs) via Srinagar, passing saffron fields around Pampore. Afternoon at leisure along the Lidder River. Overnight in Pahalgam.

Full day exploring Pahalgam's surrounding valleys — Betaab Valley, named after the Bollywood film shot there, and Aru Valley, a gateway village for further Himalayan treks. Optional pony ride to Baisaran meadow, often called "mini Switzerland." Overnight in Pahalgam.

Morning drive to Sonamarg (approx. 130 km / 4 hrs), the "Meadow of Gold," for views of the Thajiwas Glacier (reachable by a short pony ride or walk from the road). Afternoon drive back to Srinagar (approx. 80 km / 2.5 hrs). Overnight in Srinagar.

Morning at leisure for last-minute shopping — Pashmina shawls, saffron, and dry fruits. Transfer to Srinagar airport for onward/international flight connection.
